Meet the Board of Directors

The Dexter Chamber of Commerce is proudly operated by a dedicated team of volunteers serving on our Board of Directors. As an active, hands-on board, we are committed to creating value for both the Dexter community and local businesses.

Becky Cobler

President

Becky Cobler grew up in California. As a young bride, her husband joined the Air Force and for the next 22 years they moved around the country. In 1995 (26 moves later) her husband retired and the family settled in Dexter. While a stay-at-home mom, spent her time volunteering at her children’s schools and at the University of Michigan. When the kids were grown, she worked for a digital agency as the Facilities and Culture Coordinator, doing everything from fixing plumbing issues to planning company events. After retirement, Becky joined the Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce in 2019. In March 2022, she became President of the Chamber and has worked to build the team, and connect the community to our businesses. Now a widow, she lives in downtown Dexter and works part time as a real estate professional.

Chris DeReyver

Vice President

Chris joined the board in 2022 and was appointed Vice President in 2024. As a Financial Consultant at Affinity Wealth Solutions, Chris is committed to delivering exceptional client service. He takes a comprehensive approach to financial planning, guided by strong ethical principles, to help individuals and families achieve their financial goals.

Chris and his wife, Robyn, reside in Dexter, Michigan, with their four children—Nate, Zach, Hadley, and Mila—and their beloved dogs, Willow and Hazel. As outdoor enthusiasts, they love making the most of Michigan’s natural beauty through camping, hiking, skiing, golfing, biking, and beach outings.

Michelle Byrnes

Secretary

Michelle Byrnes joined the Dexter Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2023. In February 2024, she took on the role of Board Secretary. She is an active member of the Marketing Committee and the Events and Business Development Committee. By day, Michelle is the Materials Manager at DAPCO Industries in the Dexter Industrial Park. She’s a lifelong learner, holding a BA in Business Management from Eastern Michigan University, an MBA from Cleary University, and most recently, a master’s in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys life in Saline with her husband, Chuck, and their two adorable dogs, Buddy and Penny.

Jake Manderfield

Treasure

Hailing from the Upper Peninsula, Jake made his way across the bridge for a bachelor’s degree of Science, from Eastern Michigan University.

He started working at Dexter Builders in 2019 and takes pride in being the friendly face and voice of Dexter Builders. His work experience of scheduling estimates and planning community events has made him an asset to the Dexter Chamber.

Jake’s passion for supporting local businesses and fostering community engagement led him to join the Dexter Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2022. As Treasurer and Website Administrator, he plays an essential role in managing financial operations and maintaining the Chamber’s digital presence.

When he isn't working, Jake enjoys sharing a thirst for adventure with his wife, Angela, and their two children. The possibilities are endless, from their love of exploring the great outdoors of Tecumseh, to playing Dungeons and Dragons from the comfort of their living room.
